Job Opportunity - Trinity United Church

Trinity United Church has received a grant from the Canada Jobs for Students program. This position is full time for 10 weeks between June to September, daytime hours. The main responsibility of this position will be to welcome tourists and conduct informed tours of the sanctuary of this historic church. Other duties include interviewing key members of the congregation, gathering and documenting information of their experiences within this church in past decades. Ongoing direction and mentoring will be provided but maturity and independence is required. To be eligible the student must between 16 - 29 yrs. and returning to full time studies in the fall. Covenanting Service

The covenanting service for the Memorial Pastoral Charge and the Rev. Keith McPherson will be held on Sunday, September 24th at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial United Church.


The Winsloe United Church Ceilidh on Monday, September 25, at 7:30 p.m. Host Dino Dunsford welcomes singer/guitarist Jonathon Arsenault, Peter MacDougald, and Don Roberts. Peter and Don will present the classic skit "Who's on First?" A light lunch will be served, admission is $10 at the door, and the doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Covenanting Service

The covenanting service for the Trinity-Clifton Pastoral Charge and the Rev. Cathy Crooks will be held on Sunday, October 15th. (Time to be announced.)

Gala Dinner

Spring Park United Church will hold its 4th Annual Gala Dinner on Thursday, October 19, 2017. This year's event will be held at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel in the Georgian Ballroom starting with a reception at 5:30 p.m. The theme for the dinner is "The Governor's 1867 Autumn Event" and the Governor will greet guests at the door. Dinner will be roast pork with all the trimmings, followed by entertainment and auction. Tickets are $50.00 per person and are available from the church office at 902-368-1822 and Jerry Ivany at 902-892-7807. Only 140 tickets available for this event.

Roast Beef Dinnerr

Common Vision - a concert to raise our voices to end world hunger

Trinity United Church, Summerside, is hosting a concert in support of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank on Sunday, October 22nd at 2:00 in our sanctuary. We invite everyone to attend this worthwhile cause to continue in the effort to end hunger in the world. All donations received that day will go to the Foodgrains Bank.

We also invite any singers from your church and community to join us in forming an ecumenical choir for this concert. There will be three rehearsals - attend as many as you are able: Sunday, Sept. 24th, Oct. 1st, and Oct. 15th from 1:00-2:30 p.m. It would be wonderful to have the community join to praise God together and strive to ease the great hunger of our world.

Mission and Service Thank You

Mission and Service sent a letter to P.E.I. Presbytery thanking the people of the Presbytery for their contributions. A Certificate of Thanksgiving was issued, recognizing the people of P.E.I. Presbytery for giving $360,873 to Mission and Service in 2016.

Pews for Sale

The Cornwall Pastoral Charge is selling the pews from one decommissioned church building (former Kingston United Church). Kingston pews: 14 pews 12 ft. long and two short ones for back corners.
