Job Opportunity - Trinity United Church

Trinity United Church has received a grant from the Canada Jobs for Students program. This position is full time for 10 weeks between June to September, daytime hours. The main responsibility of this position will be to welcome tourists and conduct informed tours of the sanctuary of this historic church. Other duties include interviewing key members of the congregation, gathering and documenting information of their experiences within this church in past decades. Ongoing direction and mentoring will be provided but maturity and independence is required. To be eligible the student must between 16 - 29 yrs. and returning to full time studies in the fall. Mission and Service Thank You

Mission and Service sent a letter to P.E.I. Presbytery thanking the people of the Presbytery for their contributions. A Certificate of Thanksgiving was issued, recognizing the people of P.E.I. Presbytery for giving $360,873 to Mission and Service in 2016.

Yard Sale

Central Queens United Church, Hunter River, will be holding a Giant Yard Sale on Sat., July 15th from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the church. Many categories of articles to choose from as well as fresh baked goods to satisfy your hunger as you shop!


On Mon., July 17th, this group of wonderful female singers returns to Central Queens United Church, Hunter River, with songs from a few of their previous programs, but also newly selected singers' recordings from the past. Songs made famous by Loretta Lynn, Emmylou Harris, Patsy Cline, Rita MacNeill, Linda Ronstadt, Tanya Tucker, and The McGuires. Along with their backup band, Colleen MacPhee, Joan Reeves, Jolee Patkai, Judy McGregor, and Keila Glydon will provide folks with a most entertaining evening. Concert starts at 7:30 with light refreshments served. Admission $10 at the door.


Winsloe United Church Ceilidh on Monday, July 24, at 7:30 p.m. Host Dino Dunsford will be joined by Dr. Alf Morais, Friends (Ann MacDougall, Mary Hughes Power, Ann Morais and Carol Gillan) and Gary Cudmore. Doors open at 6:30p.m.; tickets $10 at the door.

Strawberry & Ice Cream Social

West River United Annual Strawberry & Ice Cream Social

Pews for Sale

The Cornwall Pastoral Charge is selling the pews from one decommissioned church building (former Kingston United Church). Kingston pews: 14 pews 12 ft. long and two short ones for back corners.
